I have been working as a tour guide for Gujarat since 2003. Gujarat was rarely known as a touristic state when I started my work as tour guide. Thanks to the VIBRANT GUJARAT campaign of Modi government at the turn of the millennium, Gujarat started developing as a touristic attraction. But still to date, most travellers visiting India just pass through Gujarat on their way from South India and Bombay to Rajasthan.

The curious souls who spend a little time in Gujarat, are mostly surprised about a lot of unbeaten paths, cultural heritage, and historical importance of Gujarat. The archeological site of the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation in Lothal, dating back to 3700 BCE, the architectural uniqueness of Stepwells, a wildlife sancturay with the biggest lion population in Asia, the mountains full of sacred temples of a non-violent Vedic religion, the traditional craftmanship of textiles and handicrafts, the historical importance of Mahatma Gandhi's work place are only a few of the many mentionable examples.
